Technology for Social Change — Innovation for Nation Building.
Magnum Opus is all about giving back to the Nation, focusing on using technology to bring change. We are engaged in social innovations that drive transparency and assist Government for Good Governance.
We expertly use the latest technology and gadgets to add value to citizens’ lives. We invented the unique ME-Governance system—a blend of M-Governance and E-Governance tailored to Indian infrastructure and conditions. Magnum Opus is an ISO 9001:2008 and ISO 27001 certified company.
Founded by Girish Lad in 2008 at Pune, Maharashtra, Magnum Opus has proved that technology can not only bring change but also save lives. Our projects are implemented nationally across domains such as Health, Revenue, Police, Sports, Disaster Management, and PDS.
We are nurturing rural entrepreneurship via Village Level Entrepreneur (VLE) India with 1,500+ VLE centers across India, delivering a mix of G2C and B2C services. We also pioneered the Citizen Facility Center in Haryana.
Our innovations—Save the Baby Girl, Silent Observer, Active Tracker (a system and method for curbing female feticide)—are adopted by multiple states and districts. Government of Maharashtra issued GRs for our Vehicle Tracking & Stopping Solution for kerosene tankers, M-Supply (SMS-based PDS), and E-Chavadi for land records where Patwaris were issued laptops.
Our work has been recognized by Times of India Social Impact Award, NASSCOM Social Innovation Award, Maharashtra IT Award (e-Governance), Manthan Award, e-India Award, mBillionth Award, and acknowledgments from dignitaries including Hon. Dr. A. P. J. Abdul Kalam, Hon. PM Dr. Manmohan Singh, and Mr. N. R. Narayana Murthy.
Our most valuable asset is our team—experienced and young professionals who are socially motivated, dedicated, and equipped to handle real-time community pressure. We believe “we are our own customers.” We also maintain strong, win-win relationships with partners, associates, and vendors.
It’s all about giving back to the nation.
“Using Information technology innovatively to address social issues, bring systemic change, make life easier for citizens, and assist the Government in achieving Good Governance.”
